As she grew older, her interests expanded far beyond horror. Romance, science fiction, fantasy, action, drama, psychological thrillers, and supernatural fiction all became part of the stories she loved. One of the first series to truly inspire her was Roswell, which blended romance and science fiction in a way she had never experienced before. Watching a human girl fall in love with an alien boy encouraged her to begin writing scenes of her own. Although she kept those stories private for years, they marked the beginning of her journey as a storyteller.
School introduced her to fantasy through The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis, while films like Pleasantville, Grease, West Side Story, and The Twilight Zone broadened her appreciation for stories that combined imagination with powerful emotional themes.
Everything changed when she discovered stories that refused to stay within a single genre. Films like Underworld proved that horror could successfully blend romance, action, supernatural mythology, and high-stakes adventure. Shortly afterward, Stephenie Meyer's Twilight reminded her that love stories could exist alongside vampires, danger, and fantasy. Those experiences convinced her that the kinds of stories she wanted to tell truly had an audience.
Her creative inspiration continued to grow through anime, manga, international television, and novels from around the world. Series such as Attack on Titan, Fairy Tail, One Piece, General and I, Playful Kiss, Gu Family Book, and My Love from the Star introduced her to ambitious world-building, unforgettable characters, emotionally driven storytelling, and sweeping romances that crossed cultures and genres.

Although the show lasted only one season, it inspired Oryxia to imagine a heroine who faced impossible situations with courage, determination, and resilience.
